State Champs, Christmas Lights, and other happenings...

So it's been a while since I last post! But since then Sage's football team won the state championship game! They beat Brophy Prep 17-10, though the ref's pretty much gave Brophy their last and only TD...but it's okay we won! :) So Sage is now a state champion! And it was at the Cardinal stadium and that was tons of fun. I love the atmosphere of rivalry games or big games like that! It was awesome.

We've done lots of Christmas shopping and I'm SO excited to give my gifts!! :) I'm pretty sure my family is going to LOVE them. I can't say what we did, 'cause they've been known to frequent my page. But I'll be sure to post pics after Christmas of the festivities. I'm also super excited for Christmas because for the first time I have NO idea what Jim has gotten me. And he's been stuffing away money for the past couple months so I have no way of tracking his spending or knowing just how much he spent either....it's driving me nuts. He hates shopping for me because I'm super snoopy and usually find out what I'm getting beforehand but this year I have no clue. I gotta admit I'm impressed.

Jim pretty much knows what he's getting. We bought those bowl game tickets, 'cause he said that's all he wanted for Christmas. So he got what he wanted, and then I got him a couple other things. I'm safe to say it here, because Jim doesn't even know how to get to our blog! haha But I got him a new holster for his backup weapon, a new BSU hat and sweater, a dehydrator(I know random, but he's wanted one for a long time), a back scratcher so my fingers can have a break, and some new threads...so with the tickets I think he'll be set. Though he keeps saying that he waaayyyy outdid me this year, which I believe and am shocked about, and he's quite proud of it. :) So ya....bottom line I can't wait for Christmas.

We leave Tuesday morning for San Diego for the game and then we'll drive back home somtime Christmas Eve day. We'll have Christmas Eve dinner at the 'rents and spend Christmas morning here at our place first and then back over to deliver our super gifts! :) Then we're spending Christmas afternoon/evening with my Aunt and Uncles family....oh and best part yet......we get to talk to BUBBA! :)

I have absoultely loved 2008 and Christmas is looking like it will close out the year on a high note!

Oh and the Christmas lights...the Mesa Temple does an AMAZING light...what would you call it...show? display? set-up? I'm not sure, but it's beautiful and completely breathtaking. We went with the family just this past Friday and had ourselves a good time. The pictures didn't turn out too great...but I'll post them anyways!

So I hope everyone has a GREAT Christmas week and we all remember the reason for the season. I'm so thankful for this time of year and the feeling that it brings with it.

I'll be back after Christmas with pictures! :)
