Christmas!!!

Okay so we had Christmas Eve dinner over at the parentals and then came home to finish wrapping presents and what not. I was so excited for presents that I wanted to open ours that night, something we've never done before. Seth and Jim vetoed my vote but said we could possibly do it at midnight...but exhausted as I was from our turn around trip I don't even think I made it to 11. Oh well.

The next morning we had to be at my parents by 7:30 in order to open presents before our call to Elder Bubba. Well those who know us know that we don't get anywhere on time it seems, and Christmas was no exception. I think we got there just after 8, and mom and dad were already on the phone with Bubs. So we tried to manage opening presents and talking to the missionary at the same time. It made me sad that he was so far away and not with us, but it was so great to talk to him. His phone ended up dying and he didn't have as much time as he thought he did so Mom got jipped cuz she was the last one to talk. Poor mama. But he's doing great in dirty, crazy El Salvador. He really wants letters though!!! So write him people! :)

Presents....I was so excited to give our present to the family. We all went in and got them a new TV and a XBox 360 system with the live adapter, hardrive, three controllers, three games, a headset and Rockband!!! Sage and Spencer were the ones who really wanted an Xbox but getting Rockband turned it into more of a family gift, the lil ones love it and the TV went in Mom and Pops room.
Jim really got me this year! He did an AMAZING job at picking things that I didn't even ask for but love! He got me two new watches, earrings, gloves, a new jacket which is super cute and I'm still not convinced he picked out on his own, a new LT t-shirt for Charger gamedays and.......................a new LAPTOP!!! Oh how I love it. I've been wanting one forever and never thought I'd actually get one for Christmas! It was a complete surprise! I think everyone had a good Christmas this year. And aside from the gifts it was more of reflecting on what's really important in this life and what it is we need to be striving for. It was a great Christmas day and we ended it by spending time with my Uncle Martin and his family that night.
