Our trip to Cali was short but well spent. We had such a good time! We drove in late Wednesday night and dropped Sage off at his friends house, then headed over to my Aunt Missy's house. They were out of town camping for the week, but let us use their house while we were there! It was so nice knowing we had somewhere to rest our heads at night! :)

We woke up Thursday morning (Thanksgiving) and made our way down to San Diego. It was a beautiful day! We were worried it was going to rain on us all day, but the sun stayed out and it was in the low 70's I would guess. Awesome.

Before we actually made it to Sea World we discovered Juans Taco Shop that served breakfast burritos all day, just our kind of spot. They were made on the spot and were delicious. Then we had to make a pit stop at a gas station for batteries because I forgot to grab some for our camera.

So while Jim was inside buying the batteries I was minding my own in the car eating my burrito and all of a sudden *BAM*. There was a car along side me waiting for another to car to move so I thought maybe we had been rear ended. But I looked behind me and didn't see a car, I didn't see anything for that matter. So I waited a second, and then got out to see if I was crazy or if I really did hear something. As I walked to the back of our car I see a dude walking out of a bush getting into his car and driving away. There was a DENT in our trunk! I was so confused. A guy across the lot was staring at me and so I asked him if he saw what happened and went on to tell me that the guy who had just driven away was drunk off his rocker and fell and hit his head on our car. Are you kidding me? I was so pissed. And scared that this stupid drunk kid, who had just hit his head hard enough to put a dent in my car, was now behind the wheel of a car.....rrrrrrrrr.

Anyway. So our car hates us. We've had the worst luck with it ever since we bought it. Before we got outta Cali it got scratched along the back passenger door and had a large lemonade spilled all across the backseat floor. I swear our car hates us.

Moving on. Sea World was great. Perfect weather. Perfect company. It was nearly empty. And I love all the animals. The Beluga whales, sting rays and dolphins were my favorite. Towards the end of the day we decided to go on the raft ride.....worst decision of our lives. We got soaked and it was starting to get chilly so we called it a day.

Our good friend Tami and her family took Jim and me in for Thanksgiving dinner and we were very well fed. It was a perfect end to our day.

Friday we hit some stores, ate at Peony's(my favorite), watched the Boise State game, took Sage shopping, and went to the Vista game! They lost, but it felt so good to be in a familiar place with familiar faces. We took off right after the game and drove through the night getting home at 6:30 this morning. Poor Jim had to work today.

We're sorry we didn't get to see everyone we wanted to while we were there, but hope to catch you another time when we have more than 2 days to spend!

It was a great trip and I loved being able to get away with my hubby for just some fun time! Hope everyone else had a great Thanksgiving!
