So I went running for the first time in years last Wednesday with Jim. He had been trying to get me to go with him forever and I finally said if I got new workout clothes and shoes I'd be down. AND HE AGREED. He called my bluff. So we went out and got me some new gear and off we went.
I really shouldn't call it running. More of a run/jog/speed week/beg to stop little jaunt down the canal behind our apartment complex and back. It ended up being a bit over 2 miles and it kicked my butt. But it felt good, I guess. :) The next day I did a 20 minute ab workout video and that hurt even more than the running.
No pain, no gain right?
I really do love running. I used to run all the time in high school. Even after high school and when I was dating Jim. I even ran while I lived in Pocatello and didn't know my way around. It was therapy for me and I loved being out on my own. But then I got held up at gun point and the world wasn't as inviting as it once was for me. The thought of being out on the streets by myself wasn't something I looked forward to anymore. And to be honest, you couldn't get me to do much of anything on my own anymore. And I hated running indoors. So I stopped running. So I got out of the habit. And now I'm out of shape.
But we're working on it, and I've taken one step in the right direction. Plus I got some cute new workout clothes. :)

Anyways sounds like you and Jim are doing great out there and your brothers are so grown up! omg! I started commenting that I too am a Ross lover-especially for shoes...but I guess I never posted it...oops
